How to host a good Sauna Party

If you are looking for a sauna party website, then there's probably a good chance that your gay male looking for a men's club.

Some men's clubs (particularly in Europe ) have so called sauna parties as part of their attractions in gay bathhouses. If this isn't the sort of information you where looking for, then check out the rest of the links on this site at on sauna homepage.

Gay bath houses are a fairly recent innovation, but men of all types have been frequenting bath houses for many years. Even in more traditional bath houses, there are often areas which are designated (not by signs, but by codes) for use by gay people.

At a popular bath house and sauna establishment in Istanbul , I was being chased around natural spring bath by 4 or 5 men in little white towels. It was only afterwards that I found out that the area I was, in fact a common pick up area for gay men in the area.

Sauna parties and especially those in men's clubs are especially popular in many parts of the larger cities in Europe . A few examples can be found at www.ringclub.ee/program/program_uk.shtml and http://www.gaylifeuk.com/saunas/london.shtml

As you can see there's a lot of men's clubs in London that hold sauna parties. If you've been to a sauna party and want to share the experience with us, we can post your stories and experiences on this page. Just email: jm@saunahelp.com

If you are planning on putting on your own sauna party then there are a few things to keep in mind. If you are a commercial organization you will need to get approval for such an activity (for instance, if you plan to install a bath house or sauna) you will need to contact your local council.

Visit as many other sauna parties as you can and see what works. The layout is quite important to make sure everyone will have a good time. It's important to have a friendly common area and also private spaces.

Make sure you have proper signage in the sauna and inform people of health and safety issues. I.E. make sure you warn people of the dangers of steam burn and spending time in the sauna (especially if they have high blood pressure or a heart condition).

If you are a home owner and you just want to host your own sauna party, there are also a few things to consider. Alcohol and saunas aren't a good combination (even though some research seems to suggest that there are no added dangers). If you only have a small sauna, don't try and crowd too many people. Sauna floors can be slippery and dangerous, especially when there is a pile of hot rocks close by. Make sure you have cold water somewhere (a shower or bath), plenty of fresh towels and lots of drinking water.
